Yesterday I woke up and found out that it was a holiday! Since Mark and I dont work the average 9-5 its hard to keep track of the days we are "suppose" to take off from work. Well after a few phone calls to friends, are day was filled with exciting activities. In less then 20 minutes we were jumping into the mini and headed to get lunch,  see the movie Star Trek, and lastly we headed to a BBQ for dinner... ! I have not had a day like that in a long time :) We would love to hear what everyone else did on their day off :)

Mark and I build customizable wedding day packages for our clients. One of the things we offer are "day after sessions".  A "day after" session is were the bride and the groom get back into their wedding attire and shoot another portrait session. The shoot can take place a month after , the day after, or a year after the wedding, its up to the bride and grooms schedule. Here are some benefits of this type of shoot.

1. You can get the dress dirty!

2. Day afters are really great for people that do not have a full hour to shoot the bride and groom portrait session on the wedding day.

3. If you are having a night wedding, a Day after session allows for you to get some awesome sun flare shots instead of all night photos.

4. You dont have the stress of the wedding looming over your head.

5. If you want you can go with a theme or get the opposite feel of the wedding. for example... If you have a beach wedding we can do the day after shoot in the city so you can get alot of different locations in your wedding attire.

6. They are super duper fun!

Alex and Marlena had their wedding in Cancun last year. We had a blast shooting and being apart of their special day, and not to mention that their location was AMAZING! Here are some of our favorite shots from their day after session we shot it in San Juan Capistrano.

OMG1 First of all~ these pictures rock! What a gorgeous couple!!

… and second, so funny you mention that day afters can be whenever b/c me and hubby just got into a “disagreement” the other day cause I was talking about doing a day after and he said you couldn’t do one a long time after your wedding! well, now I have it in print! ;)
