If you follow our blog you will notice that we have not posted a blog post in about two weeks, and our lives have dramatically changed in the last month. Below is a blog post that will sum everything up if you are confused on this sentence… These past two weeks have been amazing. We decided to take two weeks off of work when Wyatt was born. I am not going to lie it was extremely hard for me (since I have been known as a workaholic), but the time off was much needed and super important for Mark, Wyatt, and I. These past two weeks Mark and I went on several dates, hung out with Wyatt, and really just took the time to get use to the idea that a new “little human” would be living with us. Becoming a mom (and for mark a dad) has been one of the most rewarding things we have ever done. It has brought a new light on our lives and has taught us that we can survive on 3 hours of sleep a night. On a side note: I am convinced that Parents have super human powers after they give birth. There is no way I could have functioned on 3 hours of sleep a night for two weeks straight before Wyatt was born. But once my super human powers kicked in, and Wyatt was born, my energy level and my need for 9 hours of solid sleep seemed to diminish. The pros of only three hour of sleep are; I can make my husband cookies at 3:00am, I can do over 5 loads of laundry through out the night, and I can organize my house one room at a time (all of this has been done). The cons of only three hours of sleep are, I look like CRAP! Now back to the main point of this paragraph…. Taking two weeks off was also super important for Mark and I because we got to spend some much needed family time. If you noticed in previous post I talk about how hard it is to find time for date nights. But these past two weeks seemed like one long date because all we did was spend time with family, friends, and each other. I still really want to post the photos of Wyatts room, and some of the memories we captured these past two weeks. But since we have about 6 awesome wedding blog posts that need to make their way on the blog, you will have to give me a week or two. (Also dont think I have forgotten to post the photos of our awesome new studio).
Mark and I never specify who shot which wedding on our blog. We feel like there is no need since they are all under the “Mark Brooke Photography” brand… But this wedding (Anh and Jason) was the wedding I shot two days before Wyatt was born. It was sooo much fun and such an awesome experience. Anh and Jason found out about Mark Brooke Photography through another one of are RAD clients (which we always love when that happens, because RAD people know other RAD people). When they hired us to be apart of their wedding we were amazed at their commitment and love for each other. Anh and Jason have had to do a long distance relationship for many years. They met in college and after that went their separate ways. Anh went to med school on the east coast, and Jason went to grad school on the west coast. They continued to date and be in a serious relationship during the several years apart. When we shot their E-session, you could tell that they really enjoyed every single moment together. Not only that, we all had so much fun getting to know them and their amazing love story. When their wedding day arrived a few weeks ago, I felt it was a honor to be apart of it and share in their special day! Here are just a few of my favorite photos.
La Venta Inn, Monique Lhuillier and Christian Louboutin are ALWAYS a great start!

Since I was soooo prego, I had lots of help at this wedding. Many of the detail shots in this blog post were shot by my amazing assistants Josh and Paul! Thanks guys for being so amazing and really helping me out!
